Course Highlight

B2 First was originally offered in 1939 and is a qualification at upper-intermediate level that is officially recognised by universities, employers and governments around the world.

It follows on as a progression from B1 Preliminary.

What will you learn from the course?

All four English language skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking.

What you gain after completing the course?

B2 First qualification shows that you can deal confidently with different types of texts; such as fiction, newspapers and magazines as well as shows how well you can control your grammar and vocabulary.

It also shows that you are able to produce different pieces of writing; such as letters, reports, reviews and essays.

Finally, it shows you are able to follow and understand a range of spoken materials; such as  news programmes, presentations and everyday conversations in addition to the ability to communicate effectively in face to face situations.

What will you bring back?

Upon completion, it should give you the confidence to go on and study for higher-level exam such as C1 Advanced.
