CLASS OBJECTIVE YEAR 3:
The Diploma in Business Management programme is offered to school leavers interested in pursuing a career in business management. This programme will provide students with the skills and knowledge in total and integrated aspects of business management, and is suitable for those wishing to acquire a sound understanding of all aspects of business. Students will be trained in all functional areas of management of a business such as accounting, management, marketing, and human resource management that can be beneficial for career development and organisational development, and foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among the students.
PROGRAME LEARNING OUTCOME:
Upon completion of Diploma in Business Management, graduates should be able to:
PLO 1: Acquire knowledge and understanding of sources and principles of business management;
PLO 2: Conduct technical and scientific analysis based on standard procedures in business;
PLO 3: Solve current issues and problems related business by applying business management principles;
PLO 4: Demonstrate suitable interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with others;
PLO 5: Work as a team with awareness of social and community responsibilities and have the potential to be a leader;
PLO 6: Demonstrate understanding of professional business ethics and moral obligations in the profession;
PLO 7: Apply relevant skills for lifelong learning and career development; and
PLO 8: Apply managerial and entrepreneurial skills to explore career opportunities in business corporate
ENTRY REQUIREMENT:
MALAYSIAN
OR
OR
iii. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul;
OR
in any subject;
OR
NON-MALAYSIAN
1.Pass O Level with at least a Full Pass in three (3) subjects or other qualifications recognised by the Senate of UM; and
2.Possess any of the following English qualifications:
a.Score of 500 or above for the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT); or
b.Score of 5.0 or above for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
